It took me several trips around the four outside spots before I had them all at the right level. When I went to check spot five in the middle, I found it was way too high - the nozzle was hitting the build plate. I adjusted each of the four corners down identical amounts until the center was the correct height. I reasoned that the prints would be in the middle, so lets make sure this printer works before exploring my warranty options - more on that in a bit
