So in general, if you're looking for a high level carving ski, if that's your idea of a good day on the snow or maybe you've got a quiver of skis and you want to fill that role of precision, powerful, high end carving, this is a fantastic ski to consider

 Great, great carving ski from Nordica. This is kind of the middle ski in a three collection series of performance oriented carving skis that aren't quite designed for race skis.

 They're basically taking the proven race performance and reapplying it to more of a consumer oriented, maybe slightly more user friendly and approachable version.

 So pretty much everything you'd expect in a high level carving ski you're going to find in the Spitfire 76 Rb.

 Long camber, plenty of camber in this ski. You're not going to see any early rise or rocker.

 That means you get long effective edge, a lot of stability and a lot of feedback from the ski as well.

 No early taper either. So same thing, you get long effective edge.

 You're going to get a really, really good snow feel and a lot of feedback from the snow because the whole ski is on the snow.

 That also translates to really, really good edge grip, which is something that we expect out of a ski like this.

 Wood core in this ski. There's also two sheets of metal. Again, these are kind of things that we expect to see in high level carving skis.

 In addition to that, Nordica also integrates some carbon fiber into this ski.

 And I'll take a moment to say that this race plate or the binding plate, whatever you want to call it, it's a really, really good plate.

 Sometimes people have a tendency to scoff at system skis.

 I think it has a relatively traditional feel.

 You know, there are some skis in this category from other brands that are using, you know, new innovative materials and stuff like that.

 Pretty straightforward build and can build and design and shape in this ski, which I definitely don't think is a bad thing.

 You know, skiers that value that kind of traditional, powerful, responsive carving performance are going to absolutely love this ski.

 I will say that 76 is a little bit wider than some skis.

 You know, Nordica does offer this in a 72 as well.

 So 76 is giving you the ability to, you know, at least ski some softer snow conditions.

 Certainly not a powder ski, but say you got a little bit choppy snow on the groomers, it'll handle that.

 You know, you get a little bit more waist width and a little bit more surface area in general than like a true race ski or a narrow or dedicated carving ski.

 If you wanted to increase the versatility even more while still staying in this range, Nordica does offer a 80 millimeter version of this ski as well.

 But yeah, in general, it's just a high end carving ski.

 Whole lot of fun if you like linking carving turns and powerful precision skiing.

 Yeah, they're a blast to ski. You can rip around on these things.

  But hold the hard pack and ice like a champ, which was exactly what I was seeking.  Keeping my 98 mm waist Rossi's for those rare fresh snow dump days.

 And I've had no luck with light moguls on this ski. It likes to be on edge and on groomers. (I'm 5' 9" 170 lbs and an expert). 

 Not to say I can't get it on edge pretty easily- I can, but at 16mm it's not the shortest out there. If I'm hugging a line in search of some snow underfoot (the East!) keeping a really tight line is a bit of work. And I've had no luck with light moguls on this ski. It likes to be on edge and on groomers
