Hey all! Just got back into the sport after about 10 years break and am in need of some gear. I plan on getting used equipment off of FB marketplace but am having trouble differentiating good skis from bad ones (other than visible wear and tear). I've found a few pairs that look decent but am unsure about the models. Any insight would be super helpful! 

All skis are \~176-183CM and 100 dollars,  I'm an intermediate skier 6ft 220lbs.

 90mm underfoot, this guy has Atomic's Titanium Tank Mesh and Pro-Lite technology which gives it an ultra-lightweight but powerful feel. It's very, very snappy, it's very edgy, it's got great edge hold when things get a little bit icy or firm. It's also very smooth, easy for giving to ski. It's probably not the best option for your heaviest or most aggressive skier but for a good average weight, good solid intermediate to advanced level skier, it's the perfect ride for you

The Atomic Vantage 90 Ti is an awesome option for an advanced level all mountain skier who spend most of their time on the groomers but goes off trail from time to time. The Power Woodcore is a blend of ash and poplar that provides a lot of stability and helps dampen vibrations for chatter control. Strength is added to the Vantage with the Titanium Tank Mesh which is a layer of titanium mesh running tip to tail, perfect for those guys who love to charge down the mountain. Your 104s are more than enough for most "powder" days in Tahoe. Regarding groomer skis, I would look at the high 80s to start, and here are some that I enjoy: Stockli Stormrider 88, Atomic Vantage 90 Ti, Nordica Enforcer 88, Blizzard Brahma 88. There are lots of great skis, but I can vouch for these as being great Sierra frontside skis.

When to go multi-ski quiver?

 This is not a ski that you're going to want to ski on a deep powder day or especially in like wetter powder. It's going to have a little bit of trouble rising to the top and it's not going to float as well. This is not a beginner ski. It's not a park ski and it's definitely not a powder ski

 This is not a beginner ski. It's not a park ski and it's definitely not a powder ski. I would say this is a great like everyday ski if you're going to stay in resort. You want to dabble between on the groomers, getting off groomers, try some bumps and then looking to progress

 I wouldn't take it in anything like belly button deep but for off-piste, varied terrain, anything to a groomer, bumps it's going to hold its own for sure. As far as dampness I don't think this ski is going to be super, super damp. You definitely feel the terrain under your feet because the stiff construction of it just gives way to that. This would be a great ski for someone on the East Coast who wants to be able to ski a little bit of powder when it happens but is really skiing in more firm conditions
