ARIA ATO-898 vs NuWave 6 Quart 37001

The Top panel of the unit warns it will be hot, which is odd for a counter top toaster oven (people sometimes put things on them if they have a plastic top or it's right under a cupboard generally made of wood - this unit has fair height).

I brought this because I hate cooking using my stove in my small hot kitchen...this fryer is great at keeping my kitchen cool without sacrificing the quality of my food

Making beef jerky is also really easy to do and one of my top usages now. Being a large model obviously makes it much easier to dehydrate the meat at larger quantities while making all the food come eat even. I was going to originally buy one with a rotatory but figured it might not make much sense since the whole box is heating up, unlike cooking with charcoal for example where heat is coming from one direction. Plus being so large I can space out the food evenly, which is a problem with smaller air fryers I've read where for example a batch of fries with have the outer ones crispy by inner ones trapped in the middle soggy

4) On the PLUS size - it does clean up easy Of all the research I did on this item ... I'm glad I got the NuWave cuz it is quiet and I like the design - especially the back of the machine where the hot air comes out

So Everytime I use it I must plug it on and to sit it off I have to unplug. Now note this is brand new first time use and it's totally unacceptable right from package to operation. Give it ZERO stars but Amazon would not allow anything less than 1 star. Typical China junk import DO NOT buy

However, on day 89 I plugged it in and nothing! It was dead. Contacted Nuwave and they want an additional "processing fee" to send out a new power base. Seems wrong that I am paying any amount for an appliance I've had for less than 90 days. But I paid it today and will get the power base in about a week

My first air fryer. It’s a little difficult to follow recipes from Pinterest as this fryer is quite large compared to most. Cooking times are hard to figure out. Since it’s my first one I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I think it’s a little slow

The biggest problem is that I had to cook food in batches to accommodate our family of 5 making cooking with this take a lot longer. Since the results of cooking were the same and it cooks much less food at a time I am returning this. I see this being beneficial for someone cooking just for them or for cooking for 2 people, not ideal for a family. It is really just a gimmicky small version of a traditional oven with a fan

It requires using my smaller STAINLESS cooking pans, or aluminum foil and parchment paper :-( on top of the unstable tray.

I like the fact the fries were crisp and very tasty. I bakes or what the call it fries with no messy oil. Quickly cooked. There was no real clean up
