The women's Arc'teryx Sentinel AR is our favorite shell jacket for ripping around resort slopes. It scores highly in nearly every metric, saves warmth, and looks stylish doing so. The 3L Gore-Tex shell screams bombproof weather resistance from the first feel, and it did not disappoint. This jacket kept us dry and out of the wind in the pouring rain and gusting sub-zero storms in Vermont. The Sentinel AR also has a sleek, high-quality construction with fully taped seams, and DWR-treated and taped zippers keep the moisture out. We also really liked how quickly the pit zips could increase ventilation with their large, open design. The shell material was also extremely breathable, allowing us to stay dry while working hard. This shell also has enough features to keep us happy at the resort.
The flipside of the breathability and versatility of a hardshell design is that it does not provide any inherent insulation. The Sentinel AR has a soft flannel backer, but we did not find this to provide any significant insulation. We should note that maintaining the proper temperature through layering and sweat-wicking is certainly an important part of staying warm. That said, if you are looking for a jacket that keeps you both warm and dry, you may want to consider one of the insulated models we tested instead. However, if you are looking for one of the highest-end hardshells for downhill snow-sliding on the market, we believe the Sentinel AR is worth the investment. This jacket is a burly and stylish hardshell with a flattering cut and can last you several seasons.

 Pocket they're coming up to the lid, the top lid compartment, has a lot of room in it easily accessible, while you're wearing the pack tons of room up in here to be able to put whatever you need to get to on the bottom of side. Of that, you do have another pocket that you can put things that you easily, that you want to get to, or maybe that you don't want to mess with and just kind of keep zippered up. While it's keys, something like that on the inside of the main compartment, you do have a sleeve for a hydration bladder and a strap with a clip on it to be able to attach it. So it doesn't fall down with the bottom of the pocket and just going right around

 It'S easy to get into from here I like to put my hats and gloves and math and cameras and stuff up there that I can easily get to. While on the trail, I like the pocket, that's underneath it allows you to separate some of those things that you never get into say your wallet and your car keys and stuff like that that you don't want to get into. Hopefully your first aid kit, I, like the large kangaroo pocket on the outside, able to store some of the rain gear and other things that you want to get to without having to get it and that main part of the pocket. I, like the pockets inside you've, got a water bladder sleeve there and then a pocket on the other side, with a zipper to help keep some of the other small things separate that you might want to

 It does give you good access as long as you don't have something there, but it does. It comes way down into the water bottle. Pocket they're coming up to the lid, the top lid compartment, has a lot of room in it easily accessible, while you're wearing the pack tons of room up in here to be able to put whatever you need to get to on the bottom of side. Of that, you do have another pocket that you can put things that you easily, that you want to get to, or maybe that you don't want to mess with and just kind of keep zippered up

ARCTERYX BORA AR 63 REVIEW

My first outing was a tough three night/four day hike in the Rockies. It worked great! We had rain the first night and it was slightly exposed and it stayed dry. The only issue is the pockets. As they are dependent on what’s on the inside of your pack I would make sure you put what your water bottles or bear spray in before packing your bag

 See those water, dirt, and mud marks? They wash right off. This thing is built to take a beating. Packability The pack has plenty of space, and if you want more you can opt for the Bora AR 63. There are ample pockets to store gear and keep things organized, and the exterior kangaroo pocket is the main highlight

 The Arc’teryx Bora AR 50. Now, usually, I’m a pretty lightweight backpacker. I try to keep my pack under 20 pounds whenever possible. But this wasn’t your average backpacking trip

 I put this pack through the wringer because I had to, but also to see just how much weight it could comfortably carry and fit. Revelation: The Moment I Knew At 50 liters, this version of the Bora is the smaller of the two sizes offered, and about 15 liters smaller than your average wilderness backpacking backpack. I had my normal backpacking gear, extra gear, and camera gear, so I was worried about being able to fit it all, as I normally take a pack in the 65 liter range. I was very surprised at just how much gear I could cram into this thing
