This is an upgrade to last year's Cloud Cap -- meaning it's not as "crunchy." What I really like about this rain jacket is the functionality. Not only does it keep me dry, it has side vents, adjustable cuffs, the hood is adjustable and stays on, and I can fold it into one pocket and toss it in my pack! The purple is way better in person -- Just a side note: the zipper is not light purple like pictured online, it is the same color as the jacket. I debated between the small and x small because I am between sizes, but decided to go with the small so I can layer underneath if needed

I too am a overly warm person. I also dislike wind. I love using the Beta SL Hybrid as a super packable shell.

She says the lightweight fabric is perfect for warm weather. She also likes the hood, which she says is more practical than using an umbrella.

They're a super small weight to add to your pack, but definitely the worth it. Gamma/Sigma/Rush FL pants, with the Beta SL would be an excellent winter activity quiver.

Disappointed that this jacket was so thin and insubstantial. Wanted a jacket similar to the EB jacket that was stolen but there is nothing like it any longer. I thought this was close, but not.

Rho gloves, comfortable liner. Fragileish. Dont expext them to stay immaculate. They'll get worn pretty quickly but remain useable

This fit very comfortably, arms stretched out and all. I often have trouble with sleeves riding up when I do that, very.minimal here. Also things often pull across my shoulder blades, not in this case

I survived Hurricane Harvey in this raincoat!! NEVER once did I get soaked in this raincoat!! I have used a Columbia and a Tommy Hilfiger raincoat and I was soaking wet as they did not hold up at all. I will be buying two more for my children! My husband also has one and he stayed dry in his as well. I will never buy another brand again for raincoats! I like that it is lightweight also!!

I have a Montane jacket and it's a little awkwardly baggy sometimes since I decided to size up. Fortunately, with only one jacket left in stock which just so happened to be a medium, I was spared from actually having to decide for myself, and now that I actually have the jacket, there is no way I would get a small. When they say athletic fit, they mean athletic fit. I can layer an alpaca sweater underneath comfortably but the jacket bulks up a little and looks a little awkward

I'm 5'6 ish and around 158 pounds. I ordered a medium which to me felt too snug with a thicker layer such as a sweatshirt. It would have been okay with a thin spring shirt. I hope this helps with sizing

not a big large, but a great jacket- not too many pockets and cords so is easily packed. Great for trekking or in town.
