Apple Magic Mouse vs Razer Naga Trinity

Brand new, sealed box, cheaper than you can get at official Apple store. I had broken my thumb 4 years ago and my old Apple, wired mouse was starting to hurt the thumb again. Almost like carpal tunnel in my palm and wrist by my thumb. This new mouse lets you sweep and slide with one or two fingers, so you don't always have to grab onto the mouse using your thumb

The headset is a similar story: I'm looking for something that completely envelops my ears, has a mic attached by that little arm (Idk what it's actually called), decent bass, and a volume wheel and mic mute switch. Also, a 3.5mm jack is a must; batteries and latency suck.

How exactly? Well before I list the features that I found missing, these are features that won’t be a big deal to a lot of people as there are other ways of completing these tasks but for the price of this mouse it would have been nice to see the functionality be packed in. Anyway, the two biggest features I noticed personally that were missing on the Magic Mouse are firstly, there’s no way to rotate photos or objects. This is something that can only be done on the track pad and secondly, whenever editing video on programs like iMovie, which again, not everyone will do, there’s no way to zoom in or out of the timeline you’re working in. This can, again, only done using a track pad or option within iMovie

The only reason for me to use this mouse is, it has lots of buttons which I need in WoW and FF14.

Magic Mouse is by far the worst Apple accessory. The sensor is trash, the port location is bad, the entire ergonomy of the mouse is non-existent. It absolutely needs a redesign.

That said, its legacy design, particularly the flat shape, ensures that it falls short compared to Razer’s “Ultimate” mice, and other best-in-class options like the Logitech’s G502 Lightspeed. Given its high price point—$149.99 without a wireless charging dock, $169.99 as part of the dock bundle—it’s best for people who are certain that they want a cornucopia of input options right there on the side of the mouse

Too much form over function to me. I would take a corded mouse over this one if I had to. Unless you prefer mice like the Apple Magic Mouse as opposed to a traditional style mouse with scroll wheels and a mouse like shape, I'd recommend trying out other mice first before paying for this one. Chances are you'll find something that's more comfortable and less frustrating to use for less money

A recent issue I've found, and why I'm writing this review to begin with, is at some point or perhaps by my luck of the draw, I ended up with a Naga made in Taiwan. As far as I know, all my previous Naga had been made in China. I noticed an immediate set of differences in the mouse compared to my old one: sharper angles, thinner pads on the bottom that are near flush with the mouse itself, less shiny housing, etc. Minor aesthetic things only a neurotic would notice, whatever

I’m so disappointed with the Magic Mouse and I can’t believe it’s still in production. It’s extremely flat, awkward, and it’s non-ergonomic shape does not sit nicely in ones hand- at least not in mine. I feel my hand cramping after five minutes of using one because it forces my hand into such an unnatural position. Apple would make a killing on a really quality mouse that’s either wired or wireless or both

Please please please try this out in a store in person before buying. I am a human and my wrist is like yours. Take me seriously when I say this is a safety and ergonomic concern. -Final

c. As I mentioned, battery life is really good. You can also leave it sleeping without turning it off and nothing bad will happen. I think I charge mine every couple of months, with 3-5 days a week of usage

Everything you would expect to work well on the mouse, does, it's super high quality and I haven't run into any issues thus far after a few months of ownership. Main complaint is the battery life when using 2.4ghz mode feels short like maybe a week of use every day before it needs a recharge. Though if you switch to Bluetooth mode it will save battery life significantly, so I chalk this up to limits of current technology rather than a bad design

It glides on a pair of low-friction strips, tracking just as smoothly as the last Magic Mouse. The optical sensor on the bottom reacts quickly to movements, and you can adjust sensitivity and tracking in the Mouse system preferences on your Mac.

With a good sensor though, that will pretty much never ever happen, since it will be extremely precise.
