The best Bluetooth mouse for Mac we&rsquo;ve tested is the Apple Magic Mouse 2. This highly portable option feels remarkably well-built thanks to its metal frame and acrylic body. Its compact design and low profile should fit in most laptop bags. All hand sizes will feel comfortable using it with a fingertip grip, but it isn't suitable for palm or claw grips for any hand size.

This mouse connects using Bluetooth only, but while you don't have to worry about using or losing a USB receiver, you should note that it doesn't support multi-device pairing. If you're familiar with the trackpad on Mac devices, then this mouse will feel very intuitive to use as the whole top is a tactile touch surface that allows you to perform gesture commands like horizontal and vertical scrolling. There's only technically one button, but it acts as both a left- or right-click depending on where you press down.

Unfortunately, it uses USB-C to Lightning cable to charge, which may be difficult to replace if damaged. Also, the Lightning port to charge the mouse is on the bottom, so you can't use it while it charges. Thankfully, Apple advertises a month or longer battery life on a single charge, so you shouldn't have to charge it too frequently. All in all, it's the best Bluetooth mouse we've tested for Apple devices and one of the best mice for MacBook Pro.

The best wireless option for MacBook Pro that we've tested is the Apple Magic Mouse 2. It's also the best Bluetooth mouse for Mac we've tested since it doesn't rely on a 2.4 GHz connection, meaning you don't have to worry about carrying around a USB receiver to connect it. Its body is made of aluminum and acrylic, and it feels very sturdy and well-built.

This mouse has a slim profile, making it easy to slip into laptop bags, and its shape is well-suited for all hand sizes using a fingertip grip. The acrylic top surface of the mouse is tactile and works very similarly to a MacBook trackpad. You can use gesture controls anywhere on this surface to scroll, switch between applications, or zoom in and out. While there's only one button towards the front of the mouse, it acts as both the left- and right-click buttons depending on which side you press down on.

Unfortunately, its charging port is on the underside of the mouse, so you can't use it while it's charging. Also, while it has a very portable shape, it's not well-suited for use with more comfortable palm or claw grips regardless of hand size. With that said, it's an extremely portable option, and it's the best wireless mouse for Mac devices, including the MacBook Pro.

Out of all the models we tested, this keyboard had the longest Bluetooth range, working flawlessly at 30 feet away. Overall, Apple's lightweight Bluetooth keyboard design is the best choice for someone with MacOS systems who wants a quick and easy keyboard that is useful enough to stay on a desk and lightweight enough to carry from home to the office. 

The Apple Magic Mouse wins our award for the best mouse for general computer use. We define general computer use as activities like writing emails, working on spreadsheets, writing documents, etc. In that context, the Magic Mouse excels. The sleek touchpad design offers fluidity when scrolling in all four directions and dons a clean look, given that there isn't a formal button anywhere on this mouse. The latency/connectivity was flawless in testing and incredibly easy to connect to Bluetooth. Still, there is a unique feature called smart zoom, where double-tapping on the mouse zooms the computer's view into wherever your cursor is. This feature was beneficial when working on larger projects in a spreadsheet, audio engineering, or photo editing. 
While the Magic Mouse offers relatively simple features, it will require software to be installed to utilize such features on a PC. The Apple Magic Mouse is the best option for Mac users looking for a great mouse to use on the go. This model performed wonderfully across tasks like email composition, document creation, and web browsing. With a sleek glass finish and slim design, this mouse offers a unique aesthetic to this review and stands out in numerous ways. The smart zoom feature enables a massive screen zoom-in on your cursor, which was an incredible gift when utilizing spreadsheets and small-text documents. Apple is known for making devices that work well together, and it may be no surprise that we recommend the Apple Magic Mouse 2 as the best mouse for Mac users. Its iconic, low-profile design makes it extremely easy to toss into laptop bags or even your pocket. There's a new black color variant available, but the basic design hasn't changed since it was first released in 2015.

The top of the mouse is a glossy Multi-Touch surface made of acrylic that behaves just like a trackpad. A must for Apple users... But I wish some things were different...

 Never once did I have any trouble gripping or palming the mouse or experienced any discomfort, such as hand cramping, while gripping the mouse. I would say that I have pretty large boney hands and surprisingly this mouse fits my hands very nicely which is something that I didn’t expect from a mouse that is as slim as this one. The mouse is also very light weight and while it’s almost effortless to pick up and hold in your hand, it still has the right amount of weight to it. Like all Apple products, doesn’t feel cheaply made

 I understand that they had to put the port somewhere on the mouse but with the charging port being on the bottom it just makes the mouse look like a turtle on it’s back whenever it’s charging. Which is kind of cute in a weird way.  And lastly, I fell like the mouse could have came with its own carrying case for traveling. Obviously if you have an iMac you don’t really have to worry about that, but if you’re like me and only have a MacBook, it would have been nice to have a pouch to put the mouse in to prevent it from getting worn from traveling with your MacBook

 How exactly? Well before I list the features that I found missing, these are features that won’t be a big deal to a lot of people as there are other ways of completing these tasks but for the price of this mouse it would have been nice to see the functionality be packed in. Anyway, the two biggest features I noticed personally that were missing on the Magic Mouse are firstly, there’s no way to rotate photos or objects.  This is something that can only be done on the track pad and secondly, whenever editing video on programs like iMovie, which again, not everyone will do, there’s no way to zoom in or out of the timeline you’re working in. This can, again, only done using a track pad or option within iMovie

 It overall feels premium and very well constructed.  I found the battery life on this mouse is to be absolutely outstanding. Now the product listing states that you are able to get a month or so worth of use on a single full charge of the battery. I’ve been using this mouse every day for the past two weeks for at least 6-8 hours everyday and I can confidently say that so far it’s living up to that claim

A Great Mouse With Some Design Flaws

Magic Mouse is by far the worst Apple accessory. The sensor is trash, the port location is bad, the entire ergonomy of the mouse is non-existent. It absolutely needs a redesign.

Apple's Magic Mouse May See Redesign or New MagSafe Charging Capabilities

 The third positive is that the mouse is lightweight. I prefer lightweight mice but in this case, it doesn't make up for the drawbacks. The fourth positive is that its shape and weight makes it easy to fit in a bag or in a pocket.  In the end, the positives do not come close to outweighing its negatives for me

 It's like my thumb is in the way of this mouse doing what it wants to do. On the opposite side, my little finger gets dragged and pushed around on the mousepad as it has no place to go.  To make matters worse, the white touch surface top does not feel secure. It rocks sideways ever so slightly

 Too much form over function to me. I would take a corded mouse over this one if I had to. Unless you prefer mice like the Apple Magic Mouse as opposed to a traditional style mouse with scroll wheels and a mouse like shape, I'd recommend trying out other mice first before paying for this one. Chances are you'll find something that's more comfortable and less frustrating to use for less money

 Two, the battery lasts a good amount of time. Maybe up to three months on a single charge. That seems good to me. However, I did encounter an issue when I recharged the mouse the first time

A Good Example of Form Over Function

I’m so disappointed with the Magic Mouse and I can’t believe it’s still in production. It’s extremely flat, awkward, and it’s non-ergonomic shape does not sit nicely in ones hand- at least not in mine. I feel my hand cramping after five minutes of using one because it forces my hand into such an unnatural position. Apple would make a killing on a really quality mouse that’s either wired or wireless or both

Not much more to say other than when you charge it, do it a night when you don't need it!

What can I say about the ubiquitous, smooth and reliable mouse? It does the job. It doesn't let me down.

 The charging port is BELOW the mouse, making it physically impossible to charge the mouse WHILE using it. Battery lasts for a long time though, so it might be very rare that you cannot use it because it's charging--just remember to do so while you're away and you'll be good to go.  c. The Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse is an excellent ergonomically shaped mouse that won't take time to get used to, unlike some of the other ergonomic mice we tested. This mouse takes a traditional mouse design and makes a few changes to make it fit better in your hand.
