It is also a nuisance to fiddle with the pencil. Great concept to have it charge with iPad but you’ll become annoyed by it when you aren’t using it. I’d prefer it to lock into the case to charge and I might use the keyboard as a dock. This iPad keyboard combo is top heavy as well so best suited for a desk or flat surface

If you are looking for a light keyboard or something that you would carry when you travel, I would suggest the K380.

This is a vastly superior experience from a typing standpoint. The backlight was important to me and the trackpad is a very nice addition, although I still find myself using the touchscreen more. The fact that this is powered by the iPad with pass through charging is incredible, leaving my USB-C port for dongles and storage if needed. I do lament the lack of inclusion of an Apple Pencil holder, as something that costs $300 should have a safe way of holding onto this

I've only had this thing all of a few days, so i can't speak to the battery life, or the longevity of the keys etc, but the one thing that I can come right out and say is a bummer is that it's not backlit. I wanted the ease of typing with this specific keyboard because I tried other logitech keyboards that I wasn't real happy with, and there are only two models with these specific and lovely round keys and they AREN'T backlit. Ever since picking up the magic keyboard I have been using my iPad Air as my mobile daily driver for work/school and rarely feel the need to pull my laptop out anymore. The build quality is excellent, keyboard is satisfying to type on, and trackpad support in iOS is excellent. The balance of the keyboard is such that you never feel at risk of the iPad tipping when docked and the whole system just functions so intuitively. Docking and undocking is a breeze thanks to the magnets and smart connector on the back of the iPad, keyboard backlight adjusts automatically based on the iPad brightness settings, usb power pass-through makes the system easy to charge and have an extra USB port for connections, etc

It is one of the best keyboards that I have used. The spacing is great and its small but its got a good weight to it. Quick swap function keys to connect to multiple devices. This one does not feel cheap to type on
