Verdict - The new design works better on the MacBook Pro 16

With the high performance and the HDR panel, the new MacBook Pro 16 is mainly designed for content creators, who might benefit from an upgrade to one of the optional M1 Max chips if they need more RAM and/or more GPU performance. If you are not sure whether you need the upgrade, you will probably be fine with the M1 Pro. Unlike the MBP 14, the larger MBP 16 does not offer slower versions of the M1 Pro, so it is easier to choose the right SKU for you.

BEWARE!!!! Paid full price for a new one and received a used one!!!

Laptop seems to be working "ok" as of now besides the WiFi issues everyone has been having and apps like Netflix and Hulu not properly working. Another thing that is concerning is the packaging. I'm pretty sure I was sent a used product considering it came in a cheap cardboard box and not in it's original XPS box/packaging. Also the laptop itself was not even wrapped in any kind of plastic or padding or anything and I am at a military base in Iraq

So lightweight!

The battery life is very short (4ish hours) and it takes a long time to charge (about 1 1/2 hours). The brick on the cord gets very hot as it charges as does the bottom of the laptop. Otherwise it runs cool. I really like that there is no separate place to plug in the charger

Price/value Ratio

Windows vs MacOS. Not sure what laptop to get.

But we're also talking about half the price of the 14" MacBook Pro. The Zenbook is a 2 in 1 which supports pen and touch, and has a full compliment of ports. Finally, it has a removeable SSD, so you can slap a 1TB in there for cheap if you need to down the road. This is kind of a do-everything machine

Overpriced Dell Chromebook

It was supposed to a Dell xps 13 9310 but it had the look and feel of a Dell 3100 chromebook. There is a $1500 difference in the price between the two models but it seemed like Amazon thought they were the same. I would not purchase this laptop unless you want an overpriced chromebook.

Keyboard

Battery Life is Really Bad!!!

There are however a few things I do no like about the computer itself and macos. I come from a long line of window users and continue to prefer windows over macos. 1.) The keyboard is so mushy! It's so annoying to use

Love the keyboard. I'm a mechanical-keyboard type of person, and while I typically hate low-profiles, I liked the keyboard on this laptop enough that it was the decision-making factor when it came down to a few options. Handles smaller games great, professional looking and would recommend to anyone using it for non-webcam related purposes. Update: Some serious graphical glitches came with this laptop
