 After several failures I found the build plate was warped, I checked the build plate on a granite countertop and it wabbled from side to side.  The WiFi features only works with their mobile app, not with Photon Workshop and is only useful to monitor your prints, you still have go to the machine to load files to print. The delete function on the mobile apps deletes the file you select but only from the mobile app not from the USB stick so when you restart it the file shows up again. Another issue was every time your network assigns a new IP address to the printer you must add another profile in the mobile app, as you cannot delete or edit the previous profiles

Even their support person said the app was still under development.  I saw the cracking in the lid mentioned in several of the other reviews but I hoped it was just from people not being careful enough but even being extremely careful to avoid getting any resin or alcohol on the lid it started showing tiny cracks – why would Anycubic use a cheaper material that was not resistant to the normal resins and cleaning solutions that you need to use with it?  Finally, the touchscreen seemed like a very low quality touchscreen, you have to hit the exact spot to get it to recognize your selection and it often picks the wrong selection

Not quite ready for release

The EPAX seems like the best choice, but it’s over my price range once I factor in other stuff like the curing station. The 4K printers seem to be underproduced and only one of the companies even has parts for sale. It might just be cheaper and better using a big 3d printer company to print out my stuff, but I'm not sure on their prices.

* Your budget, set at a numeric amount. Saying "cheap," or "money is not a problem" is not an answer people can do much with. 3D printers can cost $100, they can cost $10,000,000, and anywhere in between. A rough idea of what you're looking for is essential to figuring out anything else.
* Your country of residence.
* If you are willing to build the printer from a kit, and what your level of experience is with electronic maintenance and construction if so.
* What you wish to do with the printer.
* Any extenuating circumstances that would restrict you from using machines that would otherwise fit your needs (limited space for the printer, enclosure requirement, must be purchased through educational intermediary, etc).

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of what can be included in your posts, these questions should help paint enough of a picture to get started. Don't be afraid to ask more questions, and never worry about asking too many. The people posting in this thread are here because they want to give advice, and any questions you have answered may be useful to others later on, when they read through this thread looking for answers of their own. Everyone here was new once, so chances are whoever is replying to you has a good idea of how you feel currently.

Additionally, a quick word on print quality: Most FDM/FFF (that is, filament based) printers are capable of approximately the same tolerances and print appearance, as the biggest limiting factor is in the nature of extruded plastic. **Asking if a machine has "good prints," or saying "I don't expect the best quality for $xxx" isn't actually relevant for the most part** with regards to these machines. Should you need additional detail and higher tolerances, you may want to explore SLA, DLP, and other photoresin options, as those *do* offer an increase in overall quality. If you are interested in resin machines, make sure you are aware of [how to use them safely](https://www.reddit.com/r/3DPrinting/wiki/resinprinting#wiki_safety). For these reasons we don't usually recommend a resin printer as someone's first printer.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In February 2021

I've owned a number of these printers for work. They are cheap enough to initially purchase, but if your printer stops working, be prepared for lengthy delays before its back up and running. I received this new printer from Amazon and its screen wasn't working. It took me 2 weeks of back and forth with AnyCubic IT before they agreed to send me another monitor and another month to receive it

  I used anycubic gray resin 405 microns...leveling the bed is a simple task, and there's nothing else for configuration

 I have actually bought said competitor's printer and it came with a completely level build plate and guess what? My prints are working (learning how to build supports is extremely important so do some research)! Buyer beware. Not sure wth is up with AnyCubic but I'm calling you out. Fix your stuff.  But what does that mean and how do I do it? Well, it all starts with a level build plate. If the surface you're wanting this to stick to is unlevel, the resin won't adhere to it and it will immediately fail. As I gained knowledge in wth was going on, I ran a straight metal ruler over the build plate. And guess what, warped as all heck

 Not worth it for the price point IMO, but for what I need to make it works fine. Just be sure to keep the box so you can return it if need be. Be mindful that the belt quality varies from printer to printer (I bought two and one belt is higher quality than the other).

For the price I expected it to work properly put of the box. I was wrong

I have multiple belt based printers and by far this was the simplest setup out of all of them. Assembly takes less than 1 hour as most of the machine is pre-built. If you got one of the creality wifi boxes for it do your self a favor and throw it away. It was easy for us to setup the printer at my local maker space using a raspberry pi and web cam

Only hard part was leveling.

 I think it's a terrific price, if creality can mass produce and deliver at this quality level or better, i'm hoping all of the work up front is going to pay off. Creality is consulting with carl, who you know created the white night belt. Printer and they've also sent one off to bill steele who, in 2015, through polar 3d, created his own belt printer machine naomi has sent the machine not only to me, but also to chuck hellebuck angus at maker's muse, uncle jesse and matthew at design prototype test, and We have all given lots of feedback hoping to make what the backers receive be. The best machine possible naomi also send a machine to filament frenzy to specifically create tuned filament profiles that will be included with the machine when backers get it and thankfully scott the maintainer of marlin also got a cr-30, so firmware could be updated and brought to a Level that will take full advantage of the hardware platform

 At the time of filming, the kickstarter is still open, and the price for this right here is 688 u.s for the build quality and what you're getting.
