While they lack more robust features like an EQ or companion app at this price point, and their build feels less premium, they still offer a decent mic performance that rivals their later successor. The mic can capture your voice well, so you won't have issues being understood well. It also does a solid job of separating your voice from noisy environments, though you still may want to take calls from a quiet place to ensure you're heard well.

These comfortable over-ears have a good overall ANC system. If you need to take calls from a busy street, it struggles to block out the rumble of car engines, but it can still be a worthwhile choice for reducing office chatter. With their ANC on, they last over 32 hours continuously, and you can even use them passively in a pinch. Their excited-sound profile has a lot of extra bass, but voices still sound well-balanced and present. They don't support multi-device pairing, though.

The Soundcore Life Q20 punches above its weight class in every category, offering one of the best values currently on the market. For just a fraction of what the premium models cost, these wireless headphones provide a well-balanced and smooth sound and some of the most effective active noise cancellation we've ever seen in this price range. Perhaps most notably, they also buck the budget model trend of small, claustrophobic earcups in favor of ample space and fluffy padding. 
While our testers agree this model sounds great, there are notable shortcomings compared to the higher-end competition. Namely, they lose some clarity in the vocals, and in very bassy tracks, the low end can sound a tad muddled. The noise cancellation also lets in more voices than slightly pricier versions of the same technology. However, these are only minor imperfections and certainly not flaws that ruin the overall listening experience. Soundcore is known for making decently performing audio products available at an approachable price, and the Soundcore Life Q20 headphones do not disappoint. Resonant yet controlled bass sets a solid foundation for a warm overall sound that lent itself to pretty much any music genre. That sound is backed up by active noise cancellation. It's not the best in the field, but it does enough to turn crowded plane cabins and noisy terminals into more favorable listening environments. Perhaps most importantly, the large ear cups and ample padding provide all-day comfort, which can be a rarity in budget headphones. 
Regarding sound quality, our main gripe with the Soundcore Life Q20 is that they have a lower level of clarity that does not always flatter vocals. And while the noise cancellation is impressive for the price range, the difference between the Life Q20 and competing high-end models is pretty obvious. Still, it's better than no ANC altogether. We also must point out that this model has a larger headband — even in its smallest configuration, it may be a bit too long for those with smaller heads. But, all things considered, we think these headphones sound great, and when it comes to balancing price and performance, they are one of the best values currently on the market.

I currently have Anker Soundcore Life Q20's so anything worse or only slightly better at noise cancelling isn't worth it. 3. I have social anxiety so I would prefer for them not to stand out too much.

Everything sounds like it's meant to be there and is happening around me rather than just in my head. They are a little tight out of the box, but I'm sure they'll wear in. Overall, love love love these for my first big boy headphones.

Which are the best noice cancelling headphones both active and passive I want the best result since I live in a loud area

 Overall, I feel like these would fit most heads and provide almost universal comfort.  Features ---- meh, not much to talk about Really the only added features are the optional bass-boost and active noise canceling (ANC). The optional bass-boost isn't bad, it just doesn't do much for me because bass is already enhanced right outta the box. So if you're into bass-boosted and bass-heavy music, these will be quite pleasant for sure! The ANC also doesn't really do much for me since I listen to my music loud enough to drown out pretty much everything anyway

 I planned on sharing the play experience with some friends, so earbuds were out of the question for sanitary reasons. I wasn't looking for stupidly-expensive headphones to have to play some VR games, but wanted something decent so Beat Saber would sound better haha. Previously, I had bought these $15 Panasonic headphones that had banger reviews, but once they arrived, I put them on, turned on some music, and instantly boxed it back up. Trash

 Not a deal breaker.  TL;DR: So overall, I recommend these headphones if you are looking for a solid pair of cans at a reasonable price, KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. These are not going to give you superior performance on any feature, except for battery life. They are definitely acceptable for what you're paying for, and so long as the build quality holds up, should meet your needs for a couple of years

 I still really enjoy the sound from these while ANC is on; strong, fun bass, and not at the expense of the mids and treble. Also, customer service also sent me replacement earpads in the event that they fail over time.  Once again, I cannot say enough about how amazing Anker's customer service is. Many companies out there could learn a lot from how much they want their customers to be satisfied!  UPDATE, 1/31/20: Unfortunately these are being returned, for 2 reasons:  1) I'm getting the popping noise whenever I take off the headphones while playing in ANC mode (which is always)

 I like using this feature alone when I’m working so that I can continue to hear the alerts (albeit muffled) from my computer while still blocking out the excessive noise outside. When I need additional noise filtering, I will add some white noise from my favorite app which completely blocks out any noise that I’ve come across including crying babies, lawn mowers, and loudly arguing neighbors. I also enjoy listening to my podcasts with these & find the sound quality decent, especially for the price. I do find it difficult, but not impossible to sleep with these on

 It seems to do very well canceling noises that are just loud enough to set me on edge, but not actual loud noises. Today I was able to use the noise canceling feature alone to block some machine humming and some hammering from the construction site in my neighborhood. I like using this feature alone when I’m working so that I can continue to hear the alerts (albeit muffled) from my computer while still blocking out the excessive noise outside. When I need additional noise filtering, I will add some white noise from my favorite app which completely blocks out any noise that I’ve come across including crying babies, lawn mowers, and loudly arguing neighbors

 Battery life is great, I’ve charged it just once since getting them. I also like the announcement through the device when you turn it on with the battery level.
