Anker Soundcore Life Q20 vs Philips SHP9500

I currently have Anker Soundcore Life Q20's so anything worse or only slightly better at noise cancelling isn't worth it. 3. I have social anxiety so I would prefer for them not to stand out too much.

* Philips SHP9500 (Modded - Shure 1840 pads with custom in-pad attenuators, customized MrSpeakers Leather Comfort strap, V-moda Boom PRO, blacked out grilles)

Everything sounds like it's meant to be there and is happening around me rather than just in my head. They are a little tight out of the box, but I'm sure they'll wear in. Overall, love love love these for my first big boy headphones.

I planned on sharing the play experience with some friends, so earbuds were out of the question for sanitary reasons. I wasn't looking for stupidly-expensive headphones to have to play some VR games, but wanted something decent so Beat Saber would sound better haha. Previously, I had bought these $15 Panasonic headphones that had banger reviews, but once they arrived, I put them on, turned on some music, and instantly boxed it back up. Trash

I have Dekoni Bulletz on there. Great sound, wish it was bassier, but it’s my workhorse.

Not a deal breaker. TL;DR: So overall, I recommend these headphones if you are looking for a solid pair of cans at a reasonable price, KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE BUYING. These are not going to give you superior performance on any feature, except for battery life. They are definitely acceptable for what you're paying for, and so long as the build quality holds up, should meet your needs for a couple of years

Makes me wonder, whatever happened to the sub $150 headphone market? When I first started this hobby, this was where the action was. You had stuff like the SR60/SR80, K81/K181, the Shure 440/840/750DJ, Audio Technica AD700, HD555-558, HD280,DT440/860, CAL/D1001, 7506, even Ultrasones were options here. I took a break for a few years and just recently came back in 2020, and man, this price category looks barren.

Battery life is pretty good. I can get through a six hour conference call marathon, but it'll leave me using laptop speakers and mic by the end of the day because you can't charge during use. Comfort is better than par. Anything under 4 hours at a stretch has been no problem for me

It is not neccesity to be a open back i just want to a headset that do not make my ears sweat. I have found philips shp9500 but when i check rtings.com it is claim that arctis 3 better than this and, i want to buy a better headset than i currently own. My max budget is 80 dollars

3. They don't fold up as small as the Sonys or even my ATs. This one alone is not worth docking a whole star, but it's the only other complaint I have. Carry-on space is so limited, and there's a pocket in my bag that the Sonys fit in, and these don't (not by much though)
