Currently using a hand me down HP x360 to stream, performance is mediocre. It can get by with warzone but as soon as I try AC or Pokémon unite it fails even with minimal features added in OBS. I would like to be able to switch some of my gaming titles over to pc if I could but what is most important is being able to stream with lots of extras running on stream.

Twitch laptop around 1,500$US

If you do really care about battery life like me tho, I'd suggest waiting for the ASUS TUF A15 which has a 90Whr battery, higher than the Omen's and it costs 9k more than the nitro ie 1.04 Lakhs. Oh and it also has a ryzen 7 5800H which is great if you want a more future proof cpu and if you edit videos.

I wanna purchase a gaming laptop to replace my current one and I am torn between these choices. I know that the omen has a reputation for having a better screen, keyboard, and great thermals but the Nitro 5 is cheaper and has an RTX 3060. I am aware of the TDP tomfoolery, although I don't know if it's worse than the 2060 for being 80 watts only. 

I really need good thermals and a good keyboard and screen. Which of these would you guys recommend?

Which laptop should I buy between HP Omen 2020 4800H RTX 2060 and Acer Nitro 5 5600H RTX 3060?

Portability-wise, it has a bit of weight so it might be a bit annoying to carry around. The battery life is also that of a typical gaming laptop which is around 3-4 hours. Don't care at all about battery life, or how it looks (though I do find all the bright lights and stuff kinda offputting). A physically sturdy build is important though. Nothing that just falls apart if you travel with it.

This is the big thing, I don't know the first thing about computers but I travel a lot and I just want to play video games with my friends. So this will be a 100% gaming laptop. Valorant, Rocket League, Hunt, stuff like that mostly.

The most intensive game I play is probably Hunt: Showdown. If I could get 80-ish FPS on medium or low settings that would be awesome.

The less extra stuff the better. Like my ideal laptop is just a brick with great gaming hardware I guess. It's also pretty important that I can just take it out of the box, download steam, and get going. I am bad at technology and I would pay extra to not have to fiddle with stuff on set up. 

I don't really understand computers, and just want something sturdy that will let me play games with my friends for the next few years while I travel.

Runs As Expected but Hot

7 and 4.6 gigahertz respectively, the 5600x is still everything you'd want in a gaming cpu and more. It also has a relatively low tdp by today's standards of 65 watts. 32 megabytes of l3 cache supports pcie 4

 It hits all three of those points, while also providing fantastic color accuracy and ridiculous one millisecond response times. Thanks to what msi is calling rapid ips technology, it's also g-sync compatible hdr ready and features an intuitive and powerful on-screen display, along with almost endless adjustability options to configure it to your needs. Perfectly also included is a usb hub that should help with cable clutter, a type-c connector one displayport 1.2 and two hdmi 2

 Something you'll probably also overlook is how much power the chip needs to keep chugging, along with it maxing out at 76 watts during heavy workloads, making the 12 400 and its max of 107 watts look greedy. Interestingly, the lower power draw didn't translate into lower temperatures with the 5600x settling in at 71 degrees c and the 12 400 at 69 degrees. Even though it's a bit higher than i personally expected, 71 degrees is still more than manageable and seemingly left enough room for the chip to properly stretch its legs with the 5600x hitting a maxwell clock of 4.65 gigahertz

Uh it's directly competitive with the 12 400 and we don't have a strong preference between the two, but these benchmarks, at least in production, at least for what we're testing look to favor amd like in decompression in gaming. You get ddr5. So, there's that to consider with intel but not with amd but for the most part it's inaccessible in price right now, anyway, especially for someone spending 200 on a cp, it doesn't make sense to blow your budget on memory

This knocks the 5600 x out of consideration for us by and large we would just say, get the 5600 instead and uh

 The 12 400 is pretty good. Um is a good value overall for the performance versus the price, but really that i3 is where, if you're on a strict strict budget, you can't stretch any higher. That'S where you'll still get a pretty good experience with it that'll last a couple years. So that's what we're looking at now for the new cpus from amd

 So that's how we would look at this if you're on pretty old amd ryzen, the 5600 may be a worthwhile consideration for you as an in-socket, upgrade save a whole bunch of money on everything else. If you think the extra let's say 20 versus a 3600 in some of these games, it goes up obviously depending on the game. If you think that's worth it, then that's where it makes sense. AMD Ryzen 5 5600 vs. i5-12400 & 5600X CPU Review & Benchmarks

 Here'S a look at how the 5800x clocks in each of the cinebench r20 tests for the multi-core test, where all cores are heavily loaded. The 5800x clocks at around 4.4 gigahertz, which is well above the advertised 3. So i really am using it as a rough guide here for how cpus might compare when fully utilized in games

 It'S coming in at 300 u.s, which is a fairly hefty price premium 20 over the ryzen 5 3600 x. A part that really, in our opinion, didn't make sense to begin with because it cost 25 percent more than the 3600 and it offered very little uh in the way of extra performance. Therefore, most did up for the 200 ryzen 5 3600 and that's the part we'll be comparing the 5600x2

 At this point in time, i can neither confirm nor deny that claim, but i sure, as hell, hope it's legit anyway. For now, we've got the rather pricey six core 12 thread, ryzen 5 5600 x to check out and i'm very keen to see how it compares to not just the ryzen 5 3600, but also the core i5 10 600k. Actually, additionally, i'm also very keen to see how it stacks up against the ryzen 7 3700x, so lots of interesting comparisons to be made with this one just. Lastly, the 5600x features a single ccd with six cores enabled, and that means it's limited to a 32 megabyte l3 cache, which is obviously still substantial compared to the intel parts

I highly recommend for lower/mid-tier builds and make sure you pair it with a Zen 3 motherboard to exploit its full potential

Excellent price for performance, AMD is unbeatable IMHO

I built my first gaming pc and chose this cpu, I’ve had it for 5 months now and it hasn’t slowed me down at all. At first I used it with a gtx 1070 and it ran everything great. recently I got a 6750xt and everything still feels really nice, sometimes it does bottleneck me a little but that rarely happens. The best thing about this cpu for me is its power consumption, if I had a more power hungry cpu I probably wouldn’t be able to have the setup I have now without having to buy another psu
