But for gamers , definitely but an aftermarket cooler to get better frequencies and temps.

I will eventually get a third card also. The only reason this isn't a 5 star card is the fact that it isnt offered with a pre installed water block, there are no full cover water blocks, and that the card is a case heat discharge type instead of case intake. Dumps a lot of heat in the case, make sure you have a ton of airflow and proper design. Excellent price for performance, AMD is unbeatable IMHO

Not only price point, but AMD processors as a whole are far better with power consumption; the TDP for AMD Ryzen processors is roughly half that of equivalent Intel processors (mid 60's for AMD, mid 120's for Intel). Prices are from Amazon; performance is from CPU-Z benchmarks. The Ryzen 5 5600x is an excellent CPU if you do not want to spend 200+ on a good processor. I highly recommend for lower/mid-tier builds and make sure you pair it with a Zen 3 motherboard to exploit its full potential

Worthy upgrade from a GTX 680 to another single card powerhouse

I needed a card that sits exactly how my GTX 680 sat, mainly due to the power pin cabling position. As my photo shows, thisEVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti ACX SC+ ACX 2.0+ Graphics Card with Backplate 06G-P4-4995-KR works perfectly (as my 680 had a backplate too, made sense to get another backplated as well). My 3DMark Fire Strike score doubled with the 980 Ti (from 7187 to 14933), right out of the box boosted to 1316 MHz @ 1193 mV, which may differ, as mine came with an ASIC of 74

Power Consumption

I built my first gaming pc and chose this cpu, I’ve had it for 5 months now and it hasn’t slowed me down at all. At first I used it with a gtx 1070 and it ran everything great. recently I got a 6750xt and everything still feels really nice, sometimes it does bottleneck me a little but that rarely happens. The best thing about this cpu for me is its power consumption, if I had a more power hungry cpu I probably wouldn’t be able to have the setup I have now without having to buy another psu

So, the new card seems to run slightly hotter than the last one at idle, but lower at gaming with ultra settings. I think this is something I can live with, especially since the new placement of the computer puts the fans within reach and I still feel cool-to-warmish (but not hot) air being expelled. Oh yeah, and still not overclocking the card at this point although I feel like I could do so without issues or live without it and be just fine. So, changing my title and my opinion to match the latest
