Little bad boy that bites like a big bad boy

I know that people are saying "2 GB ain't worth nothing" and that this card is just a waste of money compared to what the Red Team has to offer, but EVGA has made a pretty sweet deal here. This card is by far the highest clocked GTX 960 in the market (stock), and partnering it with the ACX 2.0+ cooling, the temperature under load is really sweet. Plus there's the dual BIOS setup for 0 dB gaming experience

I didn't enjoy using it at all

Other than the software, everything else is near perfect for me. 1440p performance in Battlefield 4 was impressive, with Medium details netting us 105FPS average, while Ultra detail (minus AA) provided us with a more than playable 70FPS average. My nephew was standing behind me watching me play Battlefield 4 for our real-time multiplayer benchmarking, and he asked me which card I was testing.

I chose the GTX 960 2gb because it was $30 cheaper than the 4gb. I even bought a dvd burner, but never ended up using it. I remember asking my parents to go to fry's almost every day for a week because I used their magazine promos to get all of my components cheaper.

Compatibility

Excellent price for performance, AMD is unbeatable IMHO

Not only price point, but AMD processors as a whole are far better with power consumption; the TDP for AMD Ryzen processors is roughly half that of equivalent Intel processors (mid 60's for AMD, mid 120's for Intel). Prices are from Amazon; performance is from CPU-Z benchmarks. The Ryzen 5 5600x is an excellent CPU if you do not want to spend 200+ on a good processor. I highly recommend for lower/mid-tier builds and make sure you pair it with a Zen 3 motherboard to exploit its full potential

Power Consumption

I built my first gaming pc and chose this cpu, I’ve had it for 5 months now and it hasn’t slowed me down at all. At first I used it with a gtx 1070 and it ran everything great. recently I got a 6750xt and everything still feels really nice, sometimes it does bottleneck me a little but that rarely happens. The best thing about this cpu for me is its power consumption, if I had a more power hungry cpu I probably wouldn’t be able to have the setup I have now without having to buy another psu

does not work in i570, sort of works in Mac 4,1 Win7 / 10.10. a PITA.

I had previously upgraded the PSU to 500w which can be interpreted as insufficient, but which may actually be enough power. At any rate the card did not work, so I bumped to a 750w PSU, and the card still does not work. Dell has not released a BIOS upgrade that adds UEFI to the i570, and that's the likely culprit. EVGA support told me that the card is 'hit or miss' in in UEFI environments and that failure in the i570 was enough to get an RMA authorized
