 It used to go for as cheap as 160 dollars. So that gives you an idea of how pc ports have gone up in price and yeah. These are the two obvious reasons, so this is not a pc for high-end gaming. This is not a cpu for hiking gaming

There is a video i'll link it here or maybe down in the description on hardware unboxed, where he tested the ryzen 5 3600, the i510 400 and compared it to the ryzen 5 3600x compared these uh cpus with the rtx 360 ti on gpu intensive games and The results some 1440p ultra settings were not that far away, so it actually delivers good performance. But again, as i told you, it doesn't deliver the best performance, not a performance like a 5th gen ryzen cpu would deliver nor the next gen 11th gen i5s, but hey the only. The other reason why you should get the cpu over intel

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 in 2021 ? | best budget gaming cpu ?

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Review & Benchmarks: Strong Recommendation

So I've been trying out which BIOS settings will give me the most FPS boost and I think I've finally found one. My benchmark method is quite sloppy though. All I basically did was just look at the average FPS on my Radeon Software every time I finished watching the same replay that I have stored in Overwatch.

 Overclocking further to 3733MHz with 1867Mhz Infinity Fabric gave me an additional 10FPS boost. Enabling Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) barely made any difference in my FPS but that could be due to me using a cheap cooler.

**TL;DR** \- disabling CPPC Preferred Cores in BIOS gave me a 20FPS boost in Overwatch. Overclocking my RAM from 2133MHz with 1066Mhz Infinity Fabric (stock setting) to 3600Hz with 1800MHz Infinity Fabric gave me \~60FPS boost. Overclocking further to 3733MHz with 1867Mhz Infinity Fabric gave me an additional 10FPS boost. Enabling Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) barely made any difference in my FPS but that could be due to me using a cheap cooler

Because Amazon likes combining reviews for different products: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler (I'll stop doing this when Amazon stops combining reviews for unrelated products)  Disclaimer: I am NOT a PC gamer. I did not get this CPU for gaming, so I don't bother with overclocking. I bought it because I needed a CPU for my new motherboard and the price was good.  Installation was easy

Since tests showed that the 3600 delivers the same performance as the 5600X in 4K gaming, I went with the 3600.

 Ok, when looking at the average framerate, not a massive difference, but again this isn't a great title for the rise in CPUs. We find similar results at 1440p, though here the 3600 basically matched the 1 % low performance of the 96 and ok, I don't over. All the gaming experience was indistinguishable between these 2 CPUs finishing up the gaming benchmarks. We have Total War three kingdoms and he the 3600 offered stronger 1 % low performance than the 96 on our K, but it did also provide slightly lower average frame rates, but once again, the jump to 1440p with the RT x, 20

 Quite significantly. You really don't need something as Extreme as the Corsair hydro Series edge 115. I 280 millimeter all-in-one liquid cooler, but I did use that for the 3,700 X and I wanted to make these results comparable for future content. Anyway, with the a i/o installed, these stock temps drop to just 62 degrees, and now, by default, the 3600 ran at 4,000, 125 megahertz, so a 3 % order overclock, then, with PBO enabled we got another 85 megahertz and this increased the load temp to 68 degrees, Which is obviously still very cool

 So an easy win for the new risin 5 processor, even at 1440p, despite the 9600 K appearing quicker, when looking at the average framerate, the 1 % low performance of the 3600 was actually 18 % higher, and this allowed it to deliver a smoother and more consistent Gaming experience next up, we have shut off the Tomb Raider and here's a 3600 matched the 9600 K, which is a very solid result. Given the 9600 K costs more and requires you to purchase a cooler separately, the 1440p results were much the same. The 9600 K did creep ahead by a few frames, but overall performance was competitive and the 1 % low performance of the 3600 was a good bit faster than any of these 2nd gen rising parts. Moving on to the division 2, and here at 1080p, the 3600 edged out the 9600 K and made a significant step forward from not just the 2600 X, but also the 2700 X

 Figure is two dollars and 18 cents which places it on par with the horizon 720 700 X, the horizon 530 600, comes out significantly more affordable at just $ 1 53 per frame, as it delivers a similar level of performance, but costs almost $ 100 less. This makes the 3600 better values in the 2600 X at its current $ 195, asking price, though it is 18 percent, more costly than the vanilla 2600. Even so, given the improvements in efficiency and the absolutely a monstrous performance uplift in productivity workloads, I feel it's going to be easy for consumers to justify that small price premium. Well, there you have it as predicted

I don't overclock anything and I'm aiming for 1080p on high settings which on any other game is perfectly manageable but Cyberpunk. I'm aware its a graphic heavy game and its definitely going to push my card but even running all the settings on low it was still hitting these temperatures and giving me the same result with no improvements

Hi all, recently had some problems with a couple of games i'm trying to play. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was the first. It would run absolutely fine on some occasions for hours without issue. Then other times I'd spend 45 minutes to an hour trying to get it to last longer than a few seconds of gameplay

Portability-wise, it has a bit of weight so it might be a bit annoying to carry around. The battery life is also that of a typical gaming laptop which is around 3-4 hours. AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Graphics Card, 15.6" QHD 165Hz Display, Windows 10 Home, 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM - OMEN 15z Performance Notebook

Don't care at all about battery life, or how it looks (though I do find all the bright lights and stuff kinda offputting). A physically sturdy build is important though. Nothing that just falls apart if you travel with it.
* **How important is weight and thinness to you?**  
Weight and thinness don't matter, bulky is totally fine. 
* **Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.**

This is the big thing, I don't know the first thing about computers but I travel a lot and I just want to play video games with my friends. So this will be a 100% gaming laptop. Valorant, Rocket League, Hunt, stuff like that mostly. 
* **If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?**  
The most intensive game I play is probably Hunt: Showdown. If I could get 80-ish FPS on medium or low settings that would be awesome. 
* **Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?**  
The less extra stuff the better. Like my ideal laptop is just a brick with great gaming hardware I guess. It's also pretty important that I can just take it out of the box, download steam, and get going. I am bad at technology and I would pay extra to not have to fiddle with stuff on set up. 

I don't really understand computers, and just want something sturdy that will let me play games with my friends for the next few years while I travel.

Suggest me a gaming laptop United States $1500ish USD budget

If you do really care about battery life like me tho, I'd suggest waiting for the ASUS TUF A15 which has a 90Whr battery, higher than the Omen's and it costs 9k more than the nitro ie 1.04 Lakhs. Oh and it also has a ryzen 7 5800H which is great if you want a more future proof cpu and if you edit videos.

I know that the omen has a reputation for having a better screen, keyboard, and great thermals but the Nitro 5 is cheaper and has an RTX 3060. I am aware of the TDP tomfoolery, although I don't know if it's worse than the 2060 for being 80 watts only.
