I purchased these for running and have put about 20-30 miles on them. They're comfortable under and around the foot. Good support, nice wide toe box. Good laces and upper

Avoid. Tongue digs into skin.

  That said, this shoe is light, and exactly the fit I have come to expect from an Altra shoe.   If you love Altras, you will have a hard time finding fault in the weight and fit of this shoe.  I just wish that made the tongue more of a mesh material.

Unexplainable stiff tongue

 I love the wide toe box on these and they are comfortable, but they are falling apart. The upper is separating from the sole in 3 places (2 places on 1 shoe and 1 on the other), the mesh is significantly fraying on both shoes, and there are parts of the sole that are coming apart in the front and back of both shoes. To look at these shoes you would think I’ve worn them 12 hours a day on tough trails for over a year. I would not purchase these shoes again

Comfortable but poorly made

Saucony's Triumph 19 is great, too, though still 8mm drop and a bit heavier. If you're comfortable with zero drop, Altra's Torin 5 is a great cushion-to-weight ratio long run cruiser, but make sure you size up as they run a bit short.

I’m 59. 160lb and run around 30 miles per week regularly and 40 when I’m training for something.  My half marathon time around 2 hours.  I usually do low heart rate training around 6-6:30 min km .   I like lightest shoes possible with low drop if possible.  I use all of the endorphin line but the shift don’t really work for me beyond 10 miles.  I have Skechers Max Road 4+ that I use for long runs (over 10 miles) and I am trying to go beyond the 13 miles that is my typical long run to get to something nearer 20 with a goal of doing marathon and maybe beyond starting 2022.  The Skechers are okay but I’m looking for better -  any recommendations ?  This is for training not race purposes.

Really need long slow run shoe advice

 The top of the tongue isn’t padded.  It’s quite sharp, and it cut into my skin (literally) after a few miles.  Kind of a weird design oversight.  Probably not a problem if you run in taller socks, but I prefer the short ones

 I have two pairs of trail running shoes a pair of hiking boots and then these. They are extremely light and comfortable. If you are looking for a pair of zero drop running shoes with a wide tow box, these should be your go-to. They probably wont last as long as some other brands just due to the materials, but they are the perfect value at price vs quality

 I have moved on from other brands like Brooks for the same reason. Gave Altra a chance, but not again. Back to Hoka.

Same experience as other reviewers here, they are not a durable shoe for the cost. I bought a pair of Torin 5's, two days later, the tread started separating from the sole of the shoe. That should have been my warning sign. I was able to take those back to FleetFeet to exchange

 Received a new pair, just over a month later, same issue, Outside 30 day exchange from FleetFeet, so I sent an email to the Warranty group, no response. I get that shoes will wear down, but at the cost of $150 a pair, I expected more. I have moved on from other brands like Brooks for the same reason. Gave Altra a chance, but not again

The media could not be loaded. This review is for runners and especially runners who hate the new Toruń’s! These shoes arrived in a beat up box with no Altra paperwork or other packaging details. The shoes themselves smell like they just came out of the factory. It also took a really long time for them to arrive

Knockoffs but just as good

Initially, I hated these shoes (but I love them!)! My boyfriend and I spent weeks (literally) looking for a new pair of shoes for me due to my feet widening after having a baby, and growing half a size. My ASICS were no longer doing it for me because my toes were squished.  These shoes have such a wide toe box and a good amount of cushion on the bottom, both of which were difficult to get used to while working out after my toes had been squished for two years in super uncomfortable shoes! But after about a week of wearing them constantly and going for long walks in them, they became my favorite shoe EVER! The arch support is great, which I was looking for. The wide toe box allows for your toes to move freely and BREATHE!  The only complaint I have is, without having put too many miles on them yet, the fabric on the inside of the shoe near my heel has already worn a hole

...super disappointing! An easy fix with a band aid under the sock, and making sure you're wearing a thicker or wool sock while in use

 My feet also get REALLY hot in them, towards the end of my 5 mile run it feels like they're burning. On the flip side, they're cushiony 🤷 Will give them another week before I rule them out completely.
