Altra Lone Peak 6 vs New Balance Fresh Foam Arishi v3

The shoes were still a bit looser than I would have liked, and I ended up with blisters on the outsides of each big toe. I really only run into issues with the shoes on rocky downhills where my feet may slip off of rocks. I don’t know if it feels sloppy because of the width or because of some feature of the shoe. Forget the Speed, the RC Elite, or any other "speedy" shoe (eg. carbon plated). At your pace and with your goal it is important to find a shoe which you feel comfortable with. You suggested the Clifton 8 - a good shoe, however I would opt for the Rincon 3 by Hoka

Oh, by the way, they do look goofy with the WIDE toe-box area, but that's how some feet are made. I'll take comfort over fashion any day. 4 stars

Topo could update their EVA formula or use their new ZipFoam that they’re using in some of their other shoes like the Ultrafly 3, Cyclone, and Ultraventure Pro. Another area of improvement is weight.

Light-weight, stylish and versatile- really like this sneaker. NB says it is a running shoe but does not have the support of a normal running sneaker. Five-stars because it is super comfortable and looks good with jeans, shorts & skirts.

They are not waterproof and do allow airflow. But not nearly enough, especially when compared to the material found on the Altra Riveria Street or Topo Terraventure 3.

These New Balance are super light weight, thin and very breathable. I have a supinated foot landing and am a toe striker and I noticed after a few miles my feet moving around in the shoe. I’m guessing it’s because of how thin and light the material is that it started stretching the material. But other than that these shoes are good for the right person

I tried a size 14 in these but sizing up made the shoe too wide and the toe box was so large my feet were moving side to side. Even doubling socks didn’t help - I also hate doing that.

Basically do yourself a favor and order atleast a half size to a full size up then what your normally used to. You'll be glad you did. Otherwise, for the price your getting a good value, decent comfort and quality, and they look pretty good too!

Durability--after two weeks including the admittedly hard use on the trail for three days, some of the plasticized outside "skeleton" had already started peeling away from the mesh. I brought my pair in and the salesperson said that was unusual, so I exchanged them for an identical pair. I hope these ones do better

Super light weight, love the color and the design, but the like “foam” sole that usually has a nice “squish” as you walk is slightly stiffer than anticipated. Overall though, love the shoe
