If you're shopping at a mid-range price point, the best HEPA vacuum for allergies we've tested is the Airsign HEPA Vacuum. I Think it's probably the best turbo nozzle SIBO have provided with their cleaners, so even on full power, it was relatively easy to push on the short pile carpet

 Now at the time of making this video, the EU or I don't know somebody anyway has abolished part of the labeling system and the part that relates to the performance has been dropped because there's been some controversy with the actual ratings. But you'll still get ratings for energy use, noise level, and dust emissions.  The only way to pick up fuzz (or anything else) on the rug is to push the turbo head hard against the rug to roll up the fuzz and lint, then take off the head to suck up the fuzz using only the hose. I have to do this each time, otherwise, the pet hair just stays on the rug. This is the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever used and now I am stuck with it because the return window has closed.

You can option a Hepa filter on the Miele C1 but the Sebo E1 is a more durable machine with S-Class filters which are nearly Hepa quality but less expensive to replace. It will be a little more arm work to clean the current carpets with the Kombi head but like you said that just a short term deal.

I'm in the US, looking for a good canister vacuum. Currently have a shark stick and it doesn't pick anything up anymore, at all. I threw something on the ground and just drove over it repeatedly. Currently living with someone that has a bulldog who sheds a ton in a home with low to medium pile carpet. In a few months, I'll be in  a new house with all hard flooring. I'd like to be around $500, any alternate suggestions? Not sure if it's worth investing in something with a powered head when I will only need it for a couple months. I've been looking at the Sebo E2 Turbo, the Miele C1 Turbo, and Zero G, I have a Sebo and Miele dealer close by to purchase from and get maintenance from down the line too

So this is what the dual function head looks like and this little toggle switch right here will allow you to toggle between hard flooring surfaces or any low pile carpets or any delicate carpeting or area rugs. So you do have the ability to switch between flooring settings. So when the bristles are extended, this is ideal for hard surface flooring

 This is also an air driven machine. It has two flooring attachments. My husband and I just purchased our first house, which is *all* vinyl flooring, with two 5x8 low-pile area rugs. We had an LG cordzero I got as a gift in January, which was great for the first month and then had issue after issue (mostly related to battery/charging and the filter clogging way too easily. Thankfully, after troubleshooting with LG and still not being satisfied, Costco took the product back and refunded us. 

Now, we're using our ShopVac for the whole house, which is large and bulky and not ideal. But, the suction is great -- even better than the CordZero was (although it doesn't really work on the rugs). I've used the algorithm and determined that a canister would probably be our best bet, but when I went to our local vacuum store today, they didn't have much of a selection (Mieles or Sebos) under $800. We'd really prefer to stay closer to the CordZero price of $400, but could probably be talked into a little more than that if it came with a warranty, and was one that can be repaired down the road. I also looked at the Miele cordless today (Cat and Dog, I think?) and liked that, but the price point was a bit high.

I live in Oregon, since that seems to be helpful info to know. I just don't want to make a purchase that I'll regret, and I'm a little overwhelmed! Thank you in advance :-)
