Performance

But there are plenty of drawbacks that give me pause. Update: I ended up returning this laptop as the freezeups were happening more, even after I finished doing all of the windows/driver updates. Perhaps those will be fixed in future firmware patches, but I'd rather get a computer that functions "correctly" from day one. It's weird because as I mentioned, overall performance of this laptop is very impressive and far outshines my old 2 core macbook pro, but I don't have the same freezeups on the mac (running windows) - I imagine that this has something to do with lack of AMD drivers or something

Slow and Glitchy for the Money

I think the wisdom of "Don't buy serial #1" applies to the X1 Nano. It is small and lightweight but the performance is lacking even with me purchasing the top-of-the-line with the i7 processor. I have had a number of strange glitches with some but not all working themselves out - keyboard stops working, computer won't start on reboot after update, etc. It's lots of little things that make this a poor computer

Usually, to get a laptop of this size and this 'thinness', with this performance, you'd have to be looking at at least $1000. I'm happy with this laptop because: 1. It's really light. Not the lightest laptop ever, but it is just so

PSA Don't buy the X1 nano: the X13 gen 2 will be better in every way according to official specs

**Edit** to add: since the X13 "starts at" nearly 300g heavier than the X1 Nano, this is almost certainly the weight with the lower capacity 41 Wh battery. For the 54.7 Wh battery, I expect that the weight difference will be even worse. This seems far from "better in every way", I personally would even say that it's not better at all (I value low weight more than most people, though)

Size

Great, easy to use laptop

Also, I really love the size of this laptop. It is not thick and bulky at all. It is very thin and lightweight and is great for traveling and being able to work on the go. Overall, i'm a big fan of this laptop and all it's features

X1 Nano has a 2k screen but ok battery life and it’s gen1. I own one. The only thing it hits on your list is size but I like it and so do most reviewers. Not for everyone as you need to know what you’re getting but again I think it’s good

Battery Life

Great laptop for students on a budget!

The charger plug doesn’t fit nicely into the computer. I have to push it in harder than I would like to get it to charge, and I always worry that it’s going to break. However, the battery life is so great that I’ve only had to charge it once in the past three days. I’ll update later when I’ve spent more time with it

Nice machine overall but could be better.

At first, the battery life was disappointing but it's better now that I figured out how to disable the presence sensor. That feature was just an annoyance to a home user; I couldn't even go to the fridge and get a cold one before the X1 nano would go dark and force me to sign in again.
