Perhaps those will be fixed in future firmware patches, but I'd rather get a computer that functions "correctly" from day one. It's weird because as I mentioned, overall performance of this laptop is very impressive and far outshines my old 2 core macbook pro, but I don't have the same freezeups on the mac (running windows) - I imagine that this has something to do with lack of AMD drivers or something

Usually, to get a laptop of this size and this 'thinness', with this performance, you'd have to be looking at at least $1000.  I'm happy with this laptop because:  1. It's really light. Not the lightest laptop ever, but it is just so

 Boot time is practically negligible (actually, it's like 10 seconds or less, but this is good time in my opinion). More than likely the result of the combination of a Ryzen 5 processor and an SSD. I picked an AMD processor this time around because for this generation, AMD > Intel.  3

 The performance, build quality and style factor for the price are really good. Recommended.

 Really and truly, this is a very small issue, as they cut back on something that the user could improve on themselves if they really need to - a smart decision, compared to say, only having a Ryzen 3 processor, or only 4 GB of soldered memory without any RAM slots.  Overall, I'm really pleased with the purchase. The performance, build quality and style factor for the price are really good. Recommended

 Also, I really love the size of this laptop. It is not thick and bulky at all. It is very thin and lightweight and is great for traveling and being able to work on the go. Overall, i'm a big fan of this laptop and all it's features

 They do start to look and feel a little bit cheap, considering how much they cost and when you consider the top end 3x has the same pretty average 1080p screen as uh the base swift 3, which costs about half the price from this 1100 or pound. Asking price it's a little hard to swallow and you could get a slightly better spec swift, 5 for similar money, or, if you don't mind going to a mac, i think for most people, the m1 powered macbook air would just be a better buy. Although of course, you are losing out on the xe max graphics, and if you do want to do a bit of light to moderate gaming on an ultra portable laptop, then this is still a good option because of course mac doesn't have the same game library. But i can't help thinking that the swift 3 has maybe just lost its edge a little bit when it comes to value for money

Acer Swift 3 2021 Review - WAIT!

 The charger plug doesn’t fit nicely into the computer. I have to push it in harder than I would like to get it to charge, and I always worry that it’s going to break. However, the battery life is so great that I’ve only had to charge it once in the past three days. I’ll update later when I’ve spent more time with it

This laptop is great! It came in the mail about 10 days ago, but I’ve only started using it in the past three days for school. I’m an English major so I don’t know how it would do for more intense coding, gaming, etc. I’ve mostly been using Zoom, BBCollaborate, and D2L Brightspace for classes (with multiple tabs open, as well as one or two Word docs all at once) and I’ve had zero problems with speed. There was one time when I left it open for a while and it acted like it wasn’t going to wake up, but after a moment it did with no more problems

  The screen resolution is phenomenal.  The setup could not have been easier.  As with all Windows products, you have to disable Edge and Cortana but that is easy to do.  I would highly recommend this computer

 Most laptops with a good amount of RAM don’t struggle being put through these paces, so I ran a 4K export test in Adobe Premiere Pro to give it more of a workout. It didn’t break much of a sweat here either, sprinting to complete the export of a five-minute, 33-second video in four minutes, 14 seconds. It’s worth keeping in mind that Premiere Pro can work in mysterious ways sometimes, with better specs not necessarily leading to faster export times. We’ve seen some less pricey laptops perform just as well in this test as the ZBook Studio G8, if not better, though this is a good result

It’s a simple but gorgeous laptop, yet I wouldn’t recommend this $4,727 configuration of HP’s ZBook Studio G8 to most people. The price is overkill if all that you want to do is game, and most people likely won’t need the robust suite of privacy and security features (like an Absolute persistence module, TPM 2.0, Bitlocker encryption, HP Power On Authentication, and much more) that are included to accommodate the enterprise crowd. There are some very good laptops out there suited for creators or gamers that we recommend
