It would be 5 stars if the zipper opened up more. The main opening is too small, If I'm using this for a PDW I don't want to fumble and have it get caught up coming out of the bag. As long as you have time to calmly retrieve your weapon it's fine, but this is marketed as a bag that allows immediate access, and I just don't see that with the current zipper design. Maybe with an Uzi or MP5, but let's face it most of us have SBR AR15s, not those others

Of course, if you are traveling and locking them every time you access the sling, this won't be a big deal. But if, like me, you plan on using this pack as a daily carry and don't always want to lock it, the zippers can get annoying. The outer mesh pocket uses a J-hook closure, but even with a standard water bottle in the pocket, you can no longer closer the hook, which means it just kind of dangles as you walk (see the picture). This makes anything you put in the pocket feel less secure and just kind of looks sloppy

It is VERY comfortable and fits very nicely. The strap attaching midway on the sling is very nice, especially for the aforementioned waistline. Only thing I've done with it is to ScotchGuard the top and sides to repel rain. I would absolutely recommend this to any gun-toting SOB

Easy to use, and carry and safety features were fantastic. Could put water bottle on outside and safely secure all of my other gear including passports, cash, wallet, cell phone etc. Was easy to carry and several people in our group were asking where they could get one after a few days.
