That'S going to help prevent against scratching for anything, more delicate that you store in here. So at the moment i just have a lightning cable to charge my ipad and my phone and then i also tossed in my apple magic mouse, but this might also be a great spot to throw in maybe my phone itself or maybe some air pods, because you Can reach it so quickly and again i just really love having the protection that's added by this material and then on the back of the bag. You have an additional compartment, that's almost a little bit hidden, and so this has a zipper

5.11 Rush 12 2.0 Review - Solid Budget Friendly EDC Backpack

 I'm looking for recommendations on backpacks that would be good for family day hikes in hot/humid weather (and in cooler weather). I really want something useful that doesn't result in an immediately sweaty back!

 Another nice feature is the drainage holes at the bottom. If the water bladder springs a leak the water can quickly drain out the bottom before soaking the entire pack (it's happened to me before during hikes or MTB rides, I crashed once on the MTB and sprung a leak).  I do have a couple suggestions for improvement: 1) I hike in the mountains and hills of Japan when I visit the country and I would like to use this pack as a carry on item with my notebook PC. The pocket in the main compartment is wide enough for most notebook PC but it could be better

I like it. got it yesterday, gave it a test today: 9 mile trail run 1,500 elevation gain, 1.5Hr. Loaded the backpack with 10lbs dead weight, 2L of water, Trekking pole, and K-Bar knife with holder

Good molle system pack without setting you back 100s of dollars

 I have noticed that they are already showing some wear marks. Again nothing major, as I do carry 45lbs of weight and use the pack to go on 5-6 mile rucks almost daily as well a few extended 10-12 mile rucks on a few weekends. Total time with the pack on per week is probably somewhere around 15-20 hours.  Overall a great pack so far

I love the additional bladder storage compartment to keep my water ...

.but maybe a tight fit with the laptop in one of the bigger inner pockets. Quality on the 12 looks good.

  Not a fan of the chest strap. It is all the way up almost to your neck. I think it would be better off a bit lower.  The hydration pocket is a bit odd

Good for a heavy commuter

This pack has worked out great! I wanted something smaller than the RUSH24 (I’ve had that pack for years) to build a pack for indefinite sustainment. A larger pack makes it easy to overfill with stuff you don’t really “need”, and that translates to more weight. My goal was a pack that equaled 10% of my body weight (or 18lbs). This pack fit everything perfectly snug

 There was a bend in the insert that caused a lump to ride on my back for the first few days until I figured out what the issue was. I took out the insert and cut it down (hard material to cut), hasn't been an issue since.  2) The straps shoulder straps tend to loosen up with normal use. Once every day or two, I find myself tightening the straps back down because they get looser

It's a minor annoyance than anything, but I could see some people not enjoying having to do that all the time

 Not a review for orca tactical I cant speak for their quality I just know size is an issue in my opinion for the $. If I had to do it over again I would have gotten the rush 24 as it would have better suited my needs capactity wise.  For the $ you pay the main compartment is quite small. I can get a way bigger bag from Orca tactical for less than half the price. Not a review for orca tactical I cant speak for their quality I just know size is an issue in my opinion for the $. If I had to do it over again I would have gotten the rush 24 as it would have better suited my needs capactity wise

 they have maybe to have light blue, green, red, pink and orange I believe. So they do have a lot of different colors for the trims. Option to kind of design your own tote so you can pick this color this white color. If you think this is too light, you can pick a different color, you can pick the handle color and then there's also an option for like a front pocket which is like a little open pocket where you can fit maybe your badge or something

 so I decided to get the LL Bean boat and tote and mine is with the long handle down the back. you can see this is a pretty good drop. I don't remember the exact length of the drop but it's actually a very good sized drop so that it fits comfortably over the shoulder and mine is the medium size. Let me move it back so you can sort of see I am 5/3 so I'm quite small I actually got the peak one first and it was like just way too large for me and I exchanged for the medium which I feel like is a very good size and I did get the one with the zipper on the top because I feel like for any bag I really need the zipper I just don't want to have a open-toed at all

 The bag is just one big space which is okay with me because I'm mostly going to be putting my books and binders and stuff and um of course it.
