Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop

Wear and Tear

Owned for 2 years, used Daily

Stress Points
Wrist pad will wear out in about 2 years of daily use, left click will fail in about the same time frame. This has been the case on several units I have owned.

Improvements I would like to see are a more durable clicking button and a removable and replaceable wrist rest.
Positive Remarks
This is an excellent product from a performance and design point of view. I have purchased 3 of them despite the other shortcomings and I will likely continue to purchase these because there is no more durable alternative. It is the difference between me being able to do my job and not.

I have the 4000 Keyboard and used the instructions below to replace the wristpad covering: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/ccjv4j/changed_wristpadding_on_a_microsoft_natural_4000/ Although the wristpad for the Sculpt is a single piece, from the photos in the site below, it looks like it has a similar way of attaching the material. Just hope you can get a single piece of PVC large enough. http://emmanuelcontreras.com/how-to/how-to-disassemble-microsoft-sculpt-ergonomic-keyboard-and-make-it-wired/ Good Luck
