OnePlus 6T phone

Inconvenienced

Owned for 3 years, used Daily

Stress Points
Screen smashed several times (once while in case and screen protector), microphone cuts out during calls, loud/vibrate/silent switch on side of phone stopped working after a few months.
Now no longer worth getting it fixed as prices are too high at the high street repairers, OnePlus official repair may be sent to mainland Europe for 10+ days and also be expensive, and software is no longer officially supported.
Positive Remarks
Although it has no IP rating and faulted initially after being dropped in water (with a small crack in the screen at the time), it recovered fine after thorough drying and being switched off for 2 days and has been in use for several months since.
The phone has handled extreme wear and tear better than some other brands and is only being retired due to inconvenience of repair being greater than cost of replacing it now. I would buy it again IF it were more convenient to repair locally like other brands are.
Would you buy it again?

Yes

I had this phone from launch day. About 6 months after launch, it developed a bug where it would drop animations to about 5fps, rendering it useless without turning it off and on quickly. It was a super annoying, experience-breaking issue, and OnePlus didn't fix it during the time I owned the device. OnePlus only seem to care about their latest flagship, and with a 6-monthly product cycle, that means they don't give you the flagship support for very long

Had it for 2 years. Silent switch also broken. Software gets more and more buggy. Camera stops working suddenly and needs a reboot. Software updates take longer amd longer to get out. They want you to buy a new phone.
