Love the knife, it's light and very sharp, but it's more delicate than I would have expected for Shun. We've had it about a month and it already has 2 knicks and the tip broke off - and we're just standard home cooks, nothing fancy or wild. This is a good quality knife, but I'm not convinced it's worth the cost. Just doesn't get real sharp. I purchased the Shun sharpening steel, along with the knife, and followed the video instructions to a T. Still not impressed. I have a $75 chefs knife that seem to be just as good.
