The Peak Design Universal Bar Mount stands out for how easy it is to remove and replace your phone with one hand. Once you learn the easy technique, you can remove the phone with one hand similarly as the Quad Lock and Rokform mounts. The difference between the competition is when you put the phone back on the bar: you only have to get the phone reasonably close to the mount, and the magnetic field grabs and locks it securely in place. By comparison, most of the competition is much harder to put the phone back, especially if you are riding. This mount is easy to swap between bikes and goes onto just about any bar width, including grocery carts, strollers, or your favorite workout treadmill. It is very secure in bumpy terrain. The case &#40;sold separately&#41; is slim compared to the competition and just looks good.
While the Peak Design Universal scored way higher than any other mount, it has some drawbacks. You are required to buy a specific case for your phone which nearly doubles the price and makes this among the most expensive mounts we tested. This is the heaviest case and mount combo that we tested. Most people won't notice the extra weight, but anyone looking to shave grams might be better off with Quad Lock. Unless your bars have a long stem, you won't be able to center the mount. Road cyclists, who might want the phone to be perfectly centered or out front, may prefer the Peak Design Out Front Bike Mount described below. While the case is slim enough for everyday use, it does not stick well to standard "register style" magnetic car mounts. To use the case effectively in a car, you have to buy the specific Peak Design car mount, which is expensive and can't be easily swapped between cars. To be fair, we have not found any case that works great on the bike bars and in the car. All those cons aside, this case is streamlined, secure, and our favorite option for everyday commuting and hard-core long mountain bike rides.

 Welcome back! In this video we're going to take a look at the new Peak Design Universal Bar Mount

 that comes to this, or is a part of this Peak Design mobile accessory kit. So everything starts

 with this case that you have to your phone, and then you get the accessory, the attachment kit

 that you need for your needs, and then it just attaches. So in previous videos I have checked

 out this wireless charging stand, this stand wallet, this little cute mobile tripod,

 and this creator kit. And links to all those videos will be found in the description box below.

 And in this video we're going to take a look at this Universal Bar Mount from Peak Design. Let's

 unpack it without cutting yourself so we can see what we have inside.

 This is something that you should be able to attach to, oh yeah, on your tripod, on the bike,

 on the stroller bar. You had to attach your phone on the stroller. I have two kids myself,

 and they should be so much better instead of when the kids are sleeping, not when they are awake of

 course, but you see you walk in there with your phone like this instead of just putting it there

 easily, peacefully on the bar, and you don't need to occupy your hands. And I like this with Peak

 Design climate neutral, 100% carbon neutral. That makes a difference. In here you have just

 the little folder about this accessory, and you have a link to the product page on their website.

 And here we have this Universal Bar Mount from Peak Design. This is just, oh, it's solid.

 I think this is, this is metal. This is high quality like everything else. I love Peak Design.

 that I use every day. Let's see if I have anywhere where I can put it.

 Let's try this non-light. Say that this is the bar on your bike or your stroller or anywhere else

 you would like to attach it. So you just put it around, and now this is a little bit thick.

 Do it like that, and you just attach your phone to the back side, and it snaps on.

 And you maybe think that this is going to come loose, but it doesn't, because Peak Design thought

 about that. They have a little secret up their sleeve. It's, they have here, these are spring

 loaded release mechanisms. So when you, you need to push them in to release it, because

 here they, those small things, attaches to the back of the phone. So it will never come off.

 It's just super, super sturdy. So you can't compare this to anything else that just

 attaches by magnet, because this is built to last. And it's so solid. It just attaches,

 and it never comes off, because it's not only attached by magnet. You need to push these ones,

 and then you can detach it. It's even so hard. It's almost hard to get it off just because of
