Yes, it's basically the same as a Switch in most other ways, as far as gaming and memory card support (and USB-C charging). But until Nintendo lets its family of Switch hardware share game libraries as easily as Apple or Google do with tablets, phones and Chromebooks (Apple Arcade handles multiple devices with ease and I'd love to see Nintendo do the same), the Switch Lite won't be the perfect choice for as many people as you might think.

I just downloaded Ori and the Blind Forest for my Nintendo Switch Lite, and I was not expecting how good this game is! Admittedly, i cried in the initial cutscene. Everything from the music and the visuals is absolutely stunning.The gameplay is incredible.

The problem is that it’s awkward. The Lite doesn’t have a kickstand or any way to hold it up, so you’re forced to either lay it down on a flat surface or jury-rig a way for it to stand in order to play. Neither option works well, and it’s not much fun crowding around the small screen, resting flat on a table, for an impromptu Mario Kart tournament

I used an INSIGNIA Nintendo Switch Lite travel case for electronics and it fit _perfectly_ in that pocket! Alternatively, I also used that pocket for emergency snacks in case of hypoglycemia - super quick access too.

In the end, I never used my Nintendo Switch lite, but the tech pouch was still useful for the other tech accessories. I could've fit my laptop charger in it instead of the Switch Lite.

No issues at all and no regrets. I grew up only with handheld consoles, and so to me when I think of my personal golden era of gaming its games like the GBA Final Fantasies, Pokemon, and the DS RPG catalog. To me the Lite seems like a true successor to that line of consoles, despite being technically the same console as the regular Switch.
