Hesitant to purchase XPS 13 Developer Edition over ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Recently I purchased a x1 Carbon gen 9. It said 4 months however I received it in 2 weeks. So you never know how fast it will come. I am a big fan of the latest model which fixed numerous things I have not had on my previous model (gen 6).
