The axe is nearly perfect. Only issue i expirenced is that yhe handle is not properly finished. The spine of the handle is rough cut and feels rough rather than smooth. I went over it with 100 grit sand paper and this fixed the issue.

The only complaint have is there were 3 small chips on the cutting edge. I expected better for what I paid. I feel like if I, a first time axe owner could see them and feel them, then they should have. Q. C. Not good.

Axe came with a crack in the steel at the bottom of the head right next to the eye. I think I will look for a different brand. Buyer beware.
