Gerber Flatiron

This is a Gerber Flatiron with micarta handle and D2 steel. I got this from home Depot after they sent me a $50 gift card. It's currently the sharpest knife I own and it came like that right out of the box. Never had a knife with a polished blade like this before.

I bought the first gen Flatiron. It’s the worst knife i’ve ever owned, and i’ve had hundreds from Opinel to CRK. Most stiff, gritty, and unyielding action i’ve ever felt, even after breaking open the 9 pounds of red diamond locktite and adjusting/lubricating with nano-oil. I’m 100% convinced it’s just a knife they threw together for looks knowing a lot of die on that hill Gerber fans would buy tons of them.

Lots of uses for this bad boy in the shop and in the kitchen. In the shop, I've used it to scrape gaskets of of iron and steel parts. In the kitchen I use it for dicing vegetables and chopping food items I would normally chop with a small French knife.
