I started playing a little over a year ago on acoustic. I fell in love with playing and next thing I knew was that I really wanted an electric guitar. Bought and sold a ton of guitars throughout the last year and a half, including multiple Gibson LPs, PRSs, a Gretsch, a number of different Strats and tried out a ton of other stuff extensively at stores, trying to find what I really liked best and I just kept coming to back to the Fender Stratocaster. I think I'm finally ready to call it with this one (that's what they always say) as it's a straightforwars Strat with everything I could want and more. The addition of the push/push knob that adds the neck pickup to whatever position you're on, giving you 2 extra positions is awesome, and the whole guitar just sounds and plays great!.

The guitar itself is great!!! I'm so disappointed on how it was shipped. There was no care taken on padding or making sure the thin box it was in was secure. A guitar like this should have been given more care. I received it with a hairline crack on the back side of the body, right where it's joined...

An overkill would be a Suhr or something.The Fender Player is perfect for you since you already play and you are not someone that is just starting that might not stick to .Go for it.

The guitar sounds fantastic! The only reason I am not giving it Five stars is that the guitar was delivered in need of adjustments as the high b and e strings were buzzing like a sitar. It’s obvious to me the Fender Player is out. For a Jazz master you want the standard pickups. They look like P90’s but they are their own thing. The Squier will be fine with a possible and likely bridge replacement, don’t worry even the actual vintage ones you need to change the factory bridge.
