Ultimate Direction makes solid and collapsible versions of their extremely good FK poles. I use a pair of the solid ones.

You might look into some fast packs - IMHO, they're the most designed for this sort of thing, and great for getting into actual fastpacking if that's your next step. If you're into doing huge elevation huge mileage days, perhaps it should be!. Some good brands are: Ultimate Direction, ULA, Yama Mountain Gear Sassafras, Red Paw Packs, etc. I've used the UL 25L for a multi-day and it's pretty awesome if you pack carefully.
