Needed Warranty Repair

The earcup swivels. Unfortunately this pair took a light tumble after, you guessed it, the cable got caught on my chair arm. Tiny cracks formed on both of the swivel brackets after that, and their fate was sealed. They did last about a year before becoming unusable and breaking as shown in the picture. But, this is very common. Looking up broken or cracked Mobius headsets brings up dozens of similar cases, even from people who took very good care of them. Reviews of these will taut their impressive build quality and construction strength, which are both accurate, but the earcup swivels are the only real weak point. Even the smallest drop or jolt can cause a crack to form on the brackets. Basically, keep these on a headphone hanger away from anything that moves and be obsessively careful with them. I wouldn't use them for travel at all.

The Audeze Mobius is pretty much second to none for multi-purpose PC or Console use. These work with PS4/PS5 as well as PC. The 3D audio is incredibly smooth and clean sounding no matter what you use it for (recommended for music/TV/movies), and the Hi-Res stereo for gaming is top notch. Compared to other Hi-Res capable headsets (Steelseries Arctis Pro w/GameDAC is my main comparison), the depth and sound quality are superior on the Mobius. They're very comfortable, they don't feel like they squeeze on any part of your head, and don't feel too loose either. Credit to Audeze, they seem to be aware that the brackets cracking is a common issue. One day after I opened my support ticket, they set me up to return my broken headset for a new one, free of charge. The new set also came with a much longer braided USB cable, so any chances of my chair arm yanking these off my desk are pretty much eliminated. I'm gingerly careful with them, because I'd like these to last longer than 2 years without breaking.

Broken

Headband broke at the joint between the headband and earphone. Seems to be made of thin plastic. A shame at this price point.

Beautiful sound, would actively mix multiple sound inputs together (most of the time) without additional hardware. Comfortable.
