Logitech G512 Carbon GX Brown

Broken

Owned for 2 years, used Daily

Stress Points
Plastic connectors on keys eventually break and the key falls off when you press it. It is hardly from overuse, as the keys in question have not been used very often.

I remember having removed them once for cleaning, using correct tools for the job.

Had the same issue after about the same length of time. Definitely wasn't due to cleaning just regular keyboard use. Poor quality prongs on the caps. I'm down 3 keys.

you probably scrubbed the underside of the caps while cleaning, that's how the prongs break off most of the time. An okayish fix would be to glue the caps on with superglue. And for the next keyboard, don't buy one with Romer-G but instead with Cherry MX switches.

It's a very common issue in all roamer G switches. In my keyboard a total of 4 keys had this issue and on top of it.... Many of The roamer G switches stopped working properly... Meaning click register became irregular. And worst part... I looked into desodering and changing switches.. And found out the pin location of roamer G is different so even if I were to change switches... I would be able to only switch with other roamer G and not cherry mx...

Had a similar problem with my G700. Contacted logitech, despite the keyboard being 5 years out of warranty, and they sent me a full set of new keycaps.
